The content and direction of all my drum lessons depend entirely on the unique personal needs of each student, allowing you to learn at your own pace.

As a beginner, you’ll learn a handful of rock beats, some fills around the kit and a couple of snare drum rudiments to get you going, eventually combining these new skills with some simple play-along songs.

With regular lessons, and regular home practice, you could find yourself progressing quickly and feeling confident on the drums in no time at all.

Once you've got the basics down, we'll delve a little deeper.

Intermediate drummers will begin to develop the use of rudiments in a musical context, alongside picking up the pace on the bass drum pedal.

We will also look to sharpen your reading/listening skills and attempt to bring out your sense of creativity on the kit.

The more advanced players out there may wish to focus on a particular style or perhaps a genre you are currently unfamiliar with. We can also spend time working on specific technical aspects of your playing, such as speed, independence, stylistic awareness, solo construction or any other element of your ever expanding drum vocabulary.

As a certified Grade 8 drummer with over a decade of experience as an educator and performer, I am happy to guide and mentor you along your journey as an aspiring musician.
